Maureen Sapnar is the Chandler and owner of Hildegard and Blaise which is a brick and mortar handmade bath, body and candle shop in Haddon Township. Maureen is a certified soapmaker through the Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild, and has studied natural perfumery under Charna Ethier of the Providence Perfume company and Jenn Allen of Mythique Aromatics.
In these sessions (you have a choice of two dates!) Maureen will invite Makers Club into her beautiful retail store and workshop. She’ll show us how to create all natural solid lotion bars and salve to get you through the colder months. You’ll make 3 solid lotion bars in a handy tin that fits nicely in your purse and is also magnetized to store easily on your refrigerator for convenient use after having your hands in water. You’ll also make a 4 ounce jar of intensely moisturizing salve from infused oil, beeswax and cocoa butter. This salve is excellent for soothing winter cuticles and cracked heels, any other extremely dry skin you may have that needs special care. You will be able to choose from all natural essential oils or fragrance if you prefer. You will take home 4 items that are suitable for gift giving, and you will also leave with recipes and the ability to create more in the future. Completely natural, handmade and nurturing skin products make the best gifts for the holidays.
A 15% discount will be offered to students to use the night of class for purchases in the retail shop.
Come and join us for some fun and self care!
